We are bringing forward proposals for five new purpose-built student residences on UCA’s Farnham Campus, providing 252 bedrooms, with modern conveniences including en-suite bathrooms.
The new residences will be built on the site of Main Hall and part of the surrounding area. Built in the 1970s, Main Hall is in very poor condition and no longer fit for purpose.
The residences will be designed to integrate into the campus and be consistent with the existing streetscape. Whilst providing modern accommodation, the design will be sympathetic to Farnham’s local character, using red brick and wood cladding.
The proposals will create new and improved community spaces across the campus to enhance the environment for staff and students. New car parking facilities will also be provided, as well as a new office building in the eastern car park to replace the office space in Main Hall.
